Nigerian defender Igoh Ogbu, a former Super Eagles invitee, has achieved a major milestone in his career by winning the Czech Republic 1. Liga title with Slavia Prague for the very first time.

For Igoh Ogbu, lifting the league trophy is a monumental personal achievement. His performances throughout the season have caught the attention of many, including national team coaches. Although Ogbu was invited to the Super Eagles setup under Eric Chelle, he is yet to fully cement his place in the senior Nigerian team. Nonetheless, winning a major league title in Europe will certainly boost his reputation and could open more doors internationally.

There is growing speculation that clubs from Europe’s elite leagues — including those in England, Germany, and France — have been monitoring his progress. With a current market valuation of around €10 million, Ogbu could very well attract transfer bids during the upcoming summer transfer window.
