Victor Osimhen Shines with Hat-Trick for Galatasaray Against Antalyaspor, Sends Warning to Rwanda & Zimbabwe
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen delivered a scintillating performance for Galatasaray, netting a brilliant hat-trick in their commanding 4-0 victory over Antalyaspor at Rams Park on Friday, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian forward has been in red-hot form this season, and his latest display further cements his status as one of the most lethal strikers in Europe. Galatasaray, who had been struggling with four consecutive draws across all competitions, desperately needed a win to get back on track—and Osimhen rose to the occasion in emphatic fashion.
Osimhen Leads Galatasaray’s Charge
Galatasaray wasted no time asserting their dominance, starting the game with high intensity. Early chances fell to Davinson Sanchez and Przemyslaw Frankowski, but they failed to convert. Osimhen, too, had a golden opportunity in the 25th minute, but his effort went wide.
However, just five minutes later, he made no mistake. Alvaro Morata provided a well-timed square pass inside the box, and Osimhen finished calmly with a low shot into the bottom corner to open the scoring.
Morata and Osimhen Punish Antalyaspor
Galatasaray kept pressing, and their efforts were rewarded again before halftime. In the 44th minute, a VAR review awarded them a penalty. Though Osimhen had the chance to take it, he generously allowed Morata to step up, and the Spanish forward converted to double their lead.
But the Super Eagles talisman wasn’t done yet. Just before the halftime whistle, Osimhen struck again in the third minute of stoppage time, making it 3-0 with another clinical finish.
Sealing the Win in Style
Galatasaray continued their dominance in the second half, and Osimhen completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute. This time, he latched onto a perfect through ball from Yunus Akgün, keeping his composure to slot home a precise low strike into the net.
After his outstanding performance, Osimhen was substituted in the 68th minute to a standing ovation from the home fans. His final contribution effectively sealed Antalyaspor’s fate, with the match ending in a resounding 4-0 victory for the reigning Turkish champions.
Rwanda, Zimbabwe Beware – Osimhen is On Fire!
With Nigeria’s crucial World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe approaching, Osimhen’s current form is a massive boost for the Super Eagles. His sharp finishing and ability to dominate defenses make him a nightmare for any opponent.
Coach Eric Chelle will be hoping to maximize Osimhen’s potential by building a system that provides him with constant goal-scoring opportunities. If the team can create enough chances, Osimhen is more than capable of delivering when it matters most.
