“The passion and energy displayed by these young talents is truly inspiring. This initiative is not just about finding players; it’s about nurturing future champions who will represent the club and the country on bigger platforms,” Lamido stated.
The event is held at the Army Barrack Football Field, a venue buzzing with excitement as hopeful players demonstrate their football skills. The screening exercise is sponsored by Hon. Ahmed Shuibu Gara-Gombe, the CEO of Green White Green Sports Centre Limited, who is a respected sports entrepreneur and philanthropist.

A total of 57 players have enrolled in the exercise, showcasing a diverse pool of talent from various states, including Kogi, Niger, Osun, Plateau, Kebbi, and Bauchi. Local government areas within Gombe State, such as Billiri, Akko, Balanga, and Deba, also contributed significantly to the participant list.
The players, ranging from seasoned youth footballers to rising stars, are eager to make a lasting impression during the program.
